A Guide to Daily Devotions

Daily devotions are uninterrupted, unhurried time in the Word of God (Bible), prayer and scriptural meditation.

“In our time alone with God we encounter God’s heart for us through His Word.” 

The Bible is penetrating (Hebrews 4:12) and as we read it, reflect on it and meditate on it, the Spirit is able to give us enlightenment concerning its meaning and His desired application for our lives. There is rest, security, and certainty when we are near to the heart of God, and part of how we get there is to spend time with God, to listen to Him, learn from Him, and love Him. As Psalm 16:11 says, “You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.”
