Janice Pasoquen joined Australian Navigators in May this year, working in Sydney with the Head Office Team. We interviewed her for the Summer 2023 issue of Compass.
What is your role with Navigators?
I provide administrative support to the Australian Navigators Staff, Associates, donors and partners.
How did you come into relationship with Jesus?
My husband, Mark, and I are both the fruit of the Navigators Campus Ministry in St. Louis University, Baguio City, Philippines. Each of our familes had a connection with and were ministered to by Navigators. God led us to a Navigators apartment back then, and Mark and I both accepted Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Saviour at our first Bible study in June 1999.
How has Navigators shaped your journey?
We both enjoyed all the Navigators activities: monthly fellowships, sports fest, making strawberry jams and selling them to fund-raise for the National Conference. After uni, my spiritual mum kept in contact with me, calling at least once a year and praying for me over the phone. Mark and I became busy with our family and careers. In 2009, Mark migrated to Australia. After three years, our two girls and I followed him. In 2020, God brought us back closer to Him. Our Bible study with Navs Philippines resumed and we hungered for His words. In 2021, we visited the Nav office in Baulkham Hills and later met Scott and Tami Brown. It was great to be surrounded with Nav family again.
We currently minister to three couples and some elders in our Roman Catholic Couples for Christ group. We are grateful God has given us this opportunity to lead and grow together spiritually.
