Jerry Bridges’ Legacy

Jerry Bridges was a great encouragement and challenge to many, in his personal relationships and through his books. He was such a wise, godly, Gospel-centred and Jesus-centred person. His all-time favourite verse was: “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jerry understood the Gospel wasn’t just for getting saved but was for everyday life. He said it wasn’t like a door to get in, but a path to walk along day by day.
Jerry entered the presence of His Lord on Sunday, 6 March, 2016, at 86 years of age.
His legacy is remembered and passed on through those who knew him and his books, which have been a challenge, encouragement and help to so many in their personal relationships with Jesus. We have a range of his books available from our website, including his last, The Blessing of Humility – a fitting subject, as Jerry wanted nothing more than to walk humbly with his God.
