Being a Disciple and Making Disciples Who Make Disciples

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you, And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18b-20

In the Bible, a disciple is a learner who follows a master teacher. In contrast to today, learning in Jesus’ time was very relational and holistic. Discipleship meant much more than just the transfer of information. It referred to imitating the teacher’s life, inculcating their values, and reproducing their teachings. At this conference, Mutua Mahiaini shared four messages with us on this very important topic.
