Canberra Prayer Weekend:
Praying from God’s Heart
Following the positive response to our last prayer weekend, we’d love to invite you to another one from 31 July–2 August.
This weekend is especially aimed at families and workers with a heart for disciple-making, though we’d also love to welcome students if space allows.
Similar to last time, the focus of the weekend will be developing a prayer life that engages deeply with God through God-centred, worshipful, Scripture-shaped prayer. In the busyness of ordinary life, it can be difficult to slow down, fix our eyes on God, and listen to Him. I’m hoping this weekend will provide an opportunity to do that together.
There will be times for both group and individual prayer, built around various themes and passages of Scripture. Since joy is a national theme for the Navs this year, we’ll also spend some time considering the role joy plays in our relationship with God.
There’ll also be plenty of time for good food and time together – chatting, playing games, going for walks, drinking coffee, and simply enjoying being together.
