From Grant To You – Beautiful Feet

Dear Friend,

There are all sorts of feet. There are large feet, small feet, long feet, short feet, lean feet, and pudgy feet. Did you know that there are foot models? They get paid to have their feet photographed!

Look at your feet. Do you like them? On a scale of one to ten – one being ugly and ten being beautiful – how would you rate your feet?

It is possible for all of us to have beautiful feet, at least in God’s eyes. Beautiful feet in God’s eyes are feet that are yielded to God and therefore bring good news.

Romans 10:13-15 says that salvation is granted to all who call on the Lord. But people cannot call on the Lord if they do not believe in Him. They cannot believe in Him if they do not hear the word that proclaims Christ. And that word will not be heard unless someone preaches it. But a preacher is nothing more than a herald, a person entrusted by another with a message. So preaching cannot happen unless someone sends preachers. Proclaimers of the gospel – bringers of God’s good news – are so precious that we see even their soiled and bloody feet as beautiful. Beautiful feet are not soft, manicured, painted, well-tanned feet. Beautiful feet are like the dirty, worn, wrinkled, leathery, scarred feet from many miles of trekking into remote places, into places where there are unreached peoples, with good news that could not be heard any other way.

“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:15

Do you have beautiful feet?

How Do You Begin a Grassroots Ministry?

Grassroots ministry is the starting point of advancing the gospel and building the next generation, beginning with people around you who haven’t heard the good news of Jesus.

As a labourer living and discipling among the lost, how do you begin a grassroots ministry?

1. Pray for:
• compassion for those who don’t yet believe.
• labourers to be sent into the harvest field. – You are the first step of God’s answer to this prayer.
• one person with whom to share the gospel and your life.
• boldness to proclaim the Gospel.
Matthew 9:36-38, Ephesians 6:18-20

2. Initiate with one person to share the gospel and teach them to do the same.

3. Establish them in the scriptures, building a love for God through His Word.
Psalm 1, Hebrews 4:12

4. Trust and abide in God. God will continue to expand His Kingdom and glory. Trust Him in this journey of foundational ministry.
John 15:4-5

5. Partner with others. Find at least one other person who’s also praying and believing God for big things. Labour together for the advancement of the gospel and future spiritual generations.
Luke 10:1-2
