ISM – Doorstep to the Nations!

Greetings in the Name of our Precious Lord Jesus Christ!
During our last two Family Group gatherings, while the ladies had their Bible study and the children played by themselves, I had the pleasure of reading John’s Gospel with Aly’s father-in-law—equipped only with my limited Mandarin, Google translator and a bilingual Bible!
On the first of August, one of my new friends Lizzy (a fluent Mandarin speaker) came to visit me and my Mum. What a great occasion to invite Aly and her father-in-law to join us. We were praying for the opportunity to share the gospel with him, for him to know the radical love of Jesus, and to respond with joy and boldness to Him!
After Lizzy shared the gospel with him, he received Jesus with joy on that day. We were also filled with joy! We rejoiced with the angels in heaven for his salvation! He returned to his home country today (August 18). Praise the Lord that Lizzy was able to connect him with a fellowship in his home city! Do pray for his faith and devotion to Jesus to be established, and that he be strengthened in the Word. We are now trusting that his son will come to accept Christ also!

“Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you, I will give people in exchange for you, nations in exchange for your life. Do not be afraid, for I am with you; I will bring your children from the east and gather you from the west. I will say to the north, ‘Give them up!’ and to the south, ‘Do not hold them back.’ Bring my sons from afar and my daughters from the ends of the earth.” – Isaiah 43:4-6 NIV
