Christians smell … one way or the other!

What do you think of this statement from Brisbane Navigator staff, Ram Marrero? Before answering that, here’s a story shared by Ram about one of the men he disciples:
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 (NKJV) says: “Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
Caleb is a Travel Consultant. Now in his mid-twenties, he has established a deep relationship with Jesus and a love for witnessing to people around him. Ram describes him as brave and gracious; someone who lives a life of love and without quarreling. Caleb volunteers time to speak to others about God’s love for them, as well as travels overseas for humanitarian causes, such as helping in Puerto Rico after the hurricanes battered the country.
At work, they know very well that he is a Christian, spreading “the knowledge of Christ everywhere” — a Christ-like fragrance. Openly identifying with Jesus, he has planted little seeds in the hearts of his colleagues. One of them attended church recently for a relatives’ christening. The Pastor spoke, and it was then that the ‘penny finally dropped’, and she accepted Christ as her Saviour. Excited but not wholly understanding the fullness of her decision, she knew exactly who to speak to.
Now, Caleb meets with her to read the book of John, and share their faith to encourage each other.
“I am praising God for the work He is doing at my workplace. Recently one of my colleagues . . . had a significant encounter with God and gave her life to Christ. She has been a huge encouragement to me as she has a fresh, zealous heart for God, and we are able to support each other in the faith at our workplace.” – Caleb
Please pray that Caleb continues to be effective in personal evangelism, diffusing the fragrance of Christ in every place!
